Summer Reading Club 2011 Splash!  Celebrate Summer

There are 3 Clubs this year:

Pre-schoolers' Story time

- for Children 1-5 years old and their mothers, fathers or guardians
- every Friday from 11:00 AM to Noon
- We will read a couple short books focusing on alphabet, numbers, colours, and shapes
-We will play finger games, follow the leader games, circle games, etc.
-We will do simple crafts or tactile activities
 
Club for Older Children
-for ages 6-12 years old
-every Tuesday, Wed. & Thurs. from 1- 3 PM
-We read a story, do a puppet play or play act a story with a Splash theme
- We do a craft such as: model sail boats, pirate or sailor hats, coy kites, treasure maps, aquatic animals, sea monsters, shell creatures, decorate your own rhombic kite, etc.
- We play in-door and outdoor games, and go for field trips to the Edmonton Yacht Club, the Seba Beach Pier & Beach, the Shadybrook Campground,etc.

Teen's Summer Survivor:
- Go to the website and vote off 1 book of  8 Young Adult books each week
- You could win a $50 gift certificate for Future Shop just for participating
